Hey Lykkers! If you’ve ever had acne show up right before an important day, you’ll know exactly why I started looking for serums that actually help calm things down.
I’ve tested a few acne serums that worked quite well for my skin at different moments, and I want to share them in a simple, honest way—just like I would tell a friend. These are the three that stood out the most for me.

1. Chiyou Terpineol Double Action Serum

This one feels a bit different right from the start. It comes with a dual-layer liquid, so you have to shake it before using it. At first, I didn’t expect much, but the texture surprised me—it’s extremely light, almost like water on the skin. I usually reach for this when my breakouts feel inflamed or red. It gives a calming sensation and helps the skin look less irritated over time. It doesn’t feel heavy at all, which makes it easy to layer into a routine.

2. Whitelab Acne Calming Serum

This serum has a milky, slightly cloudy look but spreads very easily on the skin. What I like most is how quickly it absorbs—it doesn’t sit on the surface or feel sticky. Whenever my skin starts looking red or uneven because of breakouts, I tend to use this. It feels gentle and helps the skin look calmer with regular use. The mugwort scent is noticeable, though. It’s not overwhelming for me, but I can see how some people might prefer something more neutral.

3. Erha AcneAct Blemish Soothing Serum

This is the most “serious” feeling serum out of the three. It contains prebiotic ingredients that are designed to help balance acne-prone skin and support healthier-looking skin over time. The texture is thicker compared to the others, which makes it feel more nourishing. Because of that, it can be a bit tricky to get out of the dropper, but I got used to it after a while. I think this one works best for dry, sensitive, and acne-prone skin types. It feels more targeted, like a treatment step rather than just a lightweight serum.

Each serum has its own personality in a way. Chiyou feels light and fast-acting for calming redness, Whitelab feels gentle and easy for daily acne care, and Erha AcneAct feels more focused for deeper skin support. For me, the best choice really depends on what my skin is going through at the moment. Some days I need something super light, other days I want something more intensive.
